Life at Highland Lakes

Highland Lakes is a lively, age-restricted community situated in Central Florida and close to the Florida Turnpike. It is located in a picturesque setting with a number of small lakes with catch and release fishing and model sailboat racing as well as natural wetland areas, and its natural trail offers a tranquil space to view the local environment, walk, and meditate. Foxes, Bald Eagles, Sand Hill Cranes and Osprey make this vibrant community their home.

Industry Expert Review

Buyers will often need to make trade-offs when considering a new home. In this community the trade off is older homes with very reasonable prices to be in good location with quality lifestyle. A newer home typically offers more open plans that are generally more energy efficient. However you may need to go further out to purchase a newer home and the cost may be higher due to higher land costs. This community offers a great value for the money just keep in mind your cost of ownership with utilities might be slightly higher and older homes may require more maintenance.
